One of our top picks in Puno. Located in Puno’s historical main square, Hotel Hacienda Plaza de Armas offers rooms with private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. Titicaca Lake is a 5-minute drive. There is free public parking nearby. It has a restaurant, Taypicamaña, where buffet breakfast is served and it has views of the main square of Puno.
Čisté, cenově velmi přijatelné, pěkný hotel
Čistý a cenově velmi přijatelný hotel.

Lovely Stay in the centre of the Plaza!
We stayed here while in Cusco, and came back to it after we went to Macchu Picchu.
The hotel is super clean & staff is helpful and nice. They leave you 2 complimentary bottles of water every day. With complementary small chocolates on your pillow 🙂 Nice gesture..
Breakfast is very nice and they have a variety. Their juices were all so nice & fresh. Loved tasting different kind in the morning.
Would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Cusco!

The millenary people who live in the middle of the totora, an Aymara language community that maintain the tradition of artisanal fishing, are also dedicated to the hunting of wild birds and the collection of duck eggs, the men are skilled builders and drivers of totora rafts and the women are expert weavers. Families who transmit their beliefs and customs from generation to generation.

Then we will go to the Island of Taquile that is characterized by the roots of its traditions, customs and colorful clothes. It is worth mentioning the incredible technique they have in textile art, which deserves to have been considered by UNESCO, “cultural heritage of humanity”, in addition to being one of the best weavers in the world.

The archaeological site of Sillustani is 34 km away from the city of Puno (35 minutes by road), between the Puno – Juliaca highway. This tour allows you to enjoy magnificent landscapes and the imposing PRE-inca architecture. The site is strategically located on the top of a peninsula surrounded by a beautiful lagoon called Laguna Umayo.
The archaeological site of Sillustani is a cemetery that was built in the 12th century by a civilization that occupied the area before the Inca rule.
The creators of the imposing burial towers are known to belong to the Kolla culture. The most imposing towers were built for the important chiefs and priests. For our ancient civilizations, cemeteries were resting places for their dead and that is why they strategically chose beautiful places to build their cemeteries and these were considered sacred places.
As we walk around the peninsula, we can feel the energy emanating from the site. Many people come to appreciate this unique landscape surrounded by mountains and the beautiful Umayo lagoon, and they do not leave without feeling their hearts recharge with peace.
