Machu Picchu is an Inca city surrounded by temples, platforms and water channels, built on top of a mountain. Estación de Tren Ollantaytambo
It is one of the most important train stations in Cuzco to go to Machu Picchu with the companies Peru Rail or Inca Rail. It is 20 minutes by car from the hotel.
It is a small city just 20 minutes from the Hacienda del Valle hotel, where you can find ATMs, restaurants and shops. This city was one of the main agricultural centers of the empire of the Incas.
Salineras de Maras
There are around 3000 small salt wells that together form a wonderful landscape. You can do tours on foot or it is ideal to make a bicycle circuit.
Only 7 km from Maras is the archaeological center of Moray that is believed to be a place of special agriculture where the Incas could carry out crop experiments with different microclimates.
